Hi I am Lotta
I live in the Archipelago outside Stockholm with my husband Nils and my dog Bonnie, we have spent 12 years abroad and returned to Sweden from Dubai and World Expo 2021, before that we lived in: Bahrain, Kenya, UAE and The Netherlands.
I started to travel early, when I was 6 years old I moved to West Africa (Liberia) with my parents and as you fellow travellers know, to discover new places is a habit that is hard to break. When I travelled with my parents as a child, my dad would always pose the same question: “I wonder what's around the next corner” and we would walk and find out. I loved exploring and still do, now it has become a part of who I am.
In my book, the top of the top - travel is the African safari. If you haven't been yet, start planning right now. When I first came to Kenya it was like coming home. There is just no describing how the African continent goes straight to your heart and soul. Photographing animals and wildlife is when I am the happiest.
As a person, I see life from the positive side. I am a born optimist with no sense of time, for me, it always flies so I am nearly never bored. In my photography, I love colour, sharpness and composition, but most of all eye contact. If there is a story to tell that is great, but I am just as happy with a beautiful view or a fun detail.
Nikon has been my camera since way back and I currently have a D850 & D810, among the lenses my favourites are the Nikon 70-200mm, my Sigma 150-600mm for wildlife and my almost everyday lens the 24-70mm.
